Joan (Crull) Pyle, 93, Summitville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at the Summit Convalescent Center in Summitville following an extended illness.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1923, in Summitville to John and Goldie (Worth) Crull and has lived in Summitville all of her lifetime. She attended Summitville High School and attended the Summitville Baptist Church. Joan was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care and nurturing of her family.
Survivors include: son, Steven (Becky) Pyle, of Jonesboro; daughter, Margaret (Ed) Blakely, of Summitville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Howard Pyle in 2006; great-granddaughter, Lilly Marie Gaddis; great-grandson, Landon James Robbins; sisters, Maxine Thurston and Lois DeLong; brothers, Eugene Crull, Donald Crull and Philip Crull.
Services honoring Joan's life and legacy will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, in the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home, 1009 W. Walnut St., Summitville, with Pastor Gary McCaslin officiating. Interment will follow in Vinson Memorial Cemetery in Summitville
Friends may call at the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home.
