Joe David Sanders, 63, resident of Honey Creek, passed away at his residence Feb. 12, 2017.
He was born Oct. 11, 1953, in New Castle, the son of Joe and Jean Sanders.
He was a graduate of Shenandoah High School and foreman at New Castle Memorial Park.
Survivors are his wife of 18 years, Debra (Cornwell) Sanders of Honey Creek; five children, Paul David (Crystal) of Honey Creek, Amber Sanders of Anderson, Amanda Reel (Brian) of Sulphur Springs, Michelle Shannon (Stephen) of Anderson and Brian Williams of Honey Creek; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Melinda Painter of Kentucky, Nancy Sanders of Honey Creek and Melanie Douglas (Scott) of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George; and a sister, Lisa.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday at noon at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 S. Fifth St., Middletown.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
Dinner will follow at the family home at 1 p.m.
Memorials may be made to any foundation that involves colon and liver cancer research.
