John Wesley Carnley, 79, of Anderson, went home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2017, after a lengthy illness of which he endured with utmost integrity.
He was born Feb. 19, 1938. John loved to fish, wood work and he loved NASCAR and the New York Yankees. He was a painter by trade. His one goal in life was making his wife Vicky who survives him,the happiest woman on earth. She was the love of his life. John loved all of his family. And especially his son, John Carnley. He was very proud of him and would always make sure to let you know that.
He attended New Testament Baptist Church of Okeechobee.
John was a serviceman. He served with the United States Navy.
John leaves to survive him his wife, Vicky; son, John Carnley of Houston, Texas; daughters, Robin Harris of Houston, Texas, Lori Rushton of Lapel, Ind., and Nicki (Roger) Seward of Anderson, Ind. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. And a very special friend, Merry Hatchett Milne of Okeechobee, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; sister; and stepdaughter Kelly Turpin.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Okeechobee for the kind and wonderful care given to John during his stay.
There will be no services at this time.
