Mr. John "Jack" S. King, age 66, of Suttons Bay, Michigan, passed away suddenly while traveling on July 21, 2017, in Carbondale, Illinois.
Jack was well known in the automotive industry as well as with Northwood University. Jack had many friends from around the country and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, in 2002. Surviving are his children, Brian and Sarah King and Jason and Katie King; 6-month-old grandson, Joseph King; special and dear friend, Susan Hoyt; father-in-law, Don Chown; brother-in-law, James Chown; niece, Sarabeth Anderson.
The King family invites you to a visitation to share memories of Jack on Sunday, Aug. 13, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504, with a rosary service at 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. at The Parish of The Holy Spirit, 2230 Lake Michigan Dr. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504, with a luncheon to follow.
Contributions may be made to the Jack and Linda King Memorial Scholarship fund at Northwood University, Whiting Drive, Midland MI 48640.
