Juanita B. Broderick, 91, of Anderson, passed away June 27, 2017, at her residence in Anderson.
She was born Jan. 2, 1926, in Madison County, and resided most of her life in Anderson. Juanita graduated from Pendleton High School and St. John's Hospital school of nursing.
She retired as a surgical nurse from St. John's Hospital after years of service. She previously worked at the Anderson Center.
Juanita is survived by her son, Chip (Rhonda) Broderick of Anderson; daughter, Gini (Todd) Christy of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Josh (Kim) Broderick of Austin, Texas, Chris (Tracy) Tompkins of Bloomington, Mikkel Kendall of Fort Wayne, Molly (Neal) Biggs of New Albany, Krissy (Andy) Jines of Shelbyville, Misty (Matt) Carpenter of Anderson, Kassey Thomas of Anderson, and Chelsea (Matt) Coon of Anderson; great-grandchildren, Luke, Max, Bryce, Colin, Akaighia, Rylie, Regan, Tristin, Karessa, Madilyn, Myleigh, Zacariayah, Dryden, Bradlee, Lily, Kaden, Eithyn, and Kamden; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Broderick; her parents, Arthur and Hazel Vance; children, Anita K. Tompkins and Rosalie J. Kendall; son-in-law, JR Kendall; and a granddaughter, Lindsay Broderick.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Klinger officiating. A nurses honor guard service will be performed prior to the service.
Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
