Juanita (Steward) Garrett, 73, of Anderson, died May 8, 2017, at Countryside Manor, after an extended illness.
She was born July 29, 1943, in Livingston, Tenn., the daughter of George and Hattie Mae (Boles) Steward.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and caring for her beloved family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Garrett, whom she married Dec. 27, 1960; her loving son, Kenneth L. Garrett; seven siblings, Charles Steward, Glendola Nivens, Ann Cory, Bedford Steward, Frances Davis, Charlotte Steward and Clyde Steward; sister-in-law, Joan (Garrett) Mauck (husband, Bill); niece, Linsey, and nephew, Chris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James Steward; and her sister, Ruby Warden.
Services will be at noon Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
