Keith W. Mauzy, 93, of Markleville, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at his home.
He was born May 1, 1923, in Markleville, the son of Cashius and Cofeine (Wilkinson) Mauzy.
He was a legend during his lifetime in the steam equipment and threshing community. He owned and operated the Mauzy Excavating business, and was a lifelong farmer.
He was a member of the Markleville East Christian Church, a 70+ year member of Markleville Masonic Lodge 629 F&AM, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and the Murat Shrine. He was a lifetime member of the Rushville Pioneers Club, and an advocate for the Advance Rumely and Historical Construction Equipment Association and numerous other organizations.
He is survived by a sister, Janet (Truman) McClain; two daughters, Connie Bullington and Carolyn (Bob) Brewer; three grandchildren, Jonas Bullington, Erik (Krista) Bullington, and Kathleen (David) Levitt; nephew, Rodney (Debbie) McClain; five great-grandchildren; and several nephews and a niece, cousins and numerous faithful friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Sarah Bullington Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at 1 p.m. at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson, with Markleville Masonic Lodge and Pastor Tom Olson of Minnesota officiating. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call from Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
