Kenneth Jay Harvey, 82, of Bell Buckle, Bedford County, Tennessee, and formerly of Monroe, Overton County, Tennesses,passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017.
Kenny Harvey was born in Monroe, Tennessee, on Jan. 1, 1935, to the late Roy William and Ida B. Richardson Harvey. Kenny worked at General Motors in Anderson, Indiana, for 44 years.
Kenny was a loving husband, father, brother and was a Christian man and a member of the Church of Christ.
Kenny loved his family and even made the statement to his daughter that he was very proud of his Christian children. He was truly loved by everyone and he had a great personality. Kenny will be missed most of all by his family and friends and all who ever got to meet him.
Hie is survived by his wife, Sheila Harvey, whom he was married to for 61 years; one daughter, Debra Davis and her husband Duane; four sons, Jeff Harvey and his wife Janie, Mike Harvey and his wife Rita, Malcolm Harvey and his wife Beth, and Brian Harvey and his wife Tammy; two brothers, Douglas Harvey and his wife Joanne, and Gerald Harvey and his wife Elka; one sister, Beatrice Taylor and her husband Ray; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Harvey and Donald Harvey.
Pallbearers were his grandsons.
Services were held on Friday in the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston, Tenn. Minister Joshua Davis, his grandson, officiated. Burial followed in Saint John's Cemetery located in the Willow Grove Community of Clay County, Tennessee.
