Lena P. Lindsey, 74, of Daleville, passed away on Feb. 27, 2017, at her residence. She was born on June 5, 1942, in Crossville, Tennessee.
She had worked as a maid at Motel 8 and was a homemaker.
She loved crafts, painting and writing poems.
Lena is survived by her loving spouse, Charles Lindsey; son, Thomas Leon (Lisa) Lindsey, stepchildren, Marsha K. (Tom) Bryan, Margaret Ann (Jeff) Lewis and Martha Marie Myers; adopted daughter, Carolyn Prince; siblings, Golda Mae (Melvin) Thompson, Lonnie Leon (Barbara) Short, Joyce Ann (Buddy) Patterson, James Robert (Ruby) Short, Glenda Fay (Jim) Gerard and Jack E. (Hazel) Tucker; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ila Mae (West) Tucker; father, George Haskell Short; and siblings, Thomas Short, Brenda Kay Short.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson.
Services will be Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Ray officiating.
Entombment will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
