Linda Lee Bannon, 80, passed at Miller's Merry Manor on Feb. 14, 2017.
She was born July 20, 1936, in Carlisle, Ky., to Julian Everett and Flossie Mae Mitchell.
She was a cheerleader at Anderson High School, graduating in 1955. She met her future husband, Ronald Bannon, at a dentist's office where she was an assistant. They married on April 20, 1956, and were faithful to each other through six children and for over 60 years.
Linda was a member of the Red Hat Society and Indiana State Federation of Poetry Clubs. She sang in the Purdue Alumni Choir and Bethany Christian Church Choir. She was active at the Alexandria Eagles 1771 where she and Ron could be seen on the dance floor.
Linda was a social butterfly that loved poetry, always had candy, and shared kindness, conversation, and encouragement.
Left to cherish Linda's memory is her husband, Ronald; children, Susie (Jim) Smith, Joseph Bannon, Sandy Blaylock, and Ronald "Guy" (Linda) Bannon; sister, Margie Warner; grandchildren, Steven "Ace" (Megan) Bannon, Jordan (Megan) Bannon, Anna (Jon) Xanders, Brandon Blaylock, Zachary Blaylock, Tyler Bannon, Kyle Bannon, Ryan Bannon, Christopher Bannon, Luke Bannon, and Joanna Bannon; several great-grandchildren; and niece, Molly (Robert) Guerena.
Preceding Linda in death are her parents; sons, Steven Douglas Bannon and John Patrick Bannon; daughter-in-law, Diane Bannon; grandson, Steven Patrick Bannon; and niece Cindy Warner.
Services will be at noon Friday with visitation one hour prior at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services.
