Mabel Johnson, 92, of Anderson, passed away on April 17, 2017, after a long illness at her residence. She was born July 16, 1924, to Georgia and Issa Brown in Greenwood, Mississippi.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the UAW Local 662. She retired from Delco Remy after 18 years of service. Mabel's hobbies included sewing, fishing, crafts, gardening and spending quality time with her family.
Mabel is survived by her two daughters, Ruby Johnson, of Anderson, and Emma Johnson, of Indianapolis, and an adopted son, Norman Adamson, of North Carolina. She had 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by special sisters-in law, Lottie Johnson and Katherine Gillespie, of Anderson.

Services will be noon Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service Thursday at the church. The Rev. L.D. Clay will officiate. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
