Margie "Kay" (Lewis) Hendrick died peacefully surrounded by her family, at Community North on July 13, 2017, in Indianapolis, Ind., at the age of 75.
Kay is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward "Wayne" Hendrick; daughter, Marsha Kitchen (friend, Tim) of Frankton; grandsons, Josh (Sara) Hendrick, Frankton. Justin Kitchen, Frankton, Jake (Jesy) Kitchen of Anderson, and Jarrod (Jessica) Kitchen of Fort Campbell, Ky.; granddaughters, Terra (Jason) Linder of Tennessee, Daija and Malaija Kitchen of Frankton; great-grandkids, Gage, Nate, Joe, Ty, Niko, Eddie, Ashby and Adler; in-laws, Kathy (Fred) Partlow, Frankton, Jeanie Hendrick, Markeville, and Jesse Wallace of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews; as well as her loving pet companion, Maddie.
She was preceded in death by father, Clifton Lewis; mother, Alpha Lewis; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Ida Hendrick; sister, Marilyn Wallace; brother-in-law, Tom Hendrick; brother-in-law, Richard Rainer; and sister-in-law, Ruth Rainer.
Kay was born on Dec. 31, 1941. She married Wayne Hendrick, on Aug. 12, 1961. She was retired from the State of Indiana. Kay will be remembered as being a devoted wife and mother, doting grandmother, and a wonderful friend.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Harper and Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Hilligoss officiating the ceremony.
