Marilyn Jo Wallace, 77, wife of Jesse Wallace, passed away at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016.
Born Oct. 13, 1939, in Sturgis, Michigan, she was the daughter of Clifton Herbert Lewis and Crystal Ione Hockersmith Staggs. She was a former resident of Frankton, Indiana, and Linden, New Jersey. She was a 1957 graduate of Frankton High School.
She was a member of Celebration Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Ladybugs and the choir. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by I. B. Myers Co.; after retiring, she was an elder caregiver.
She also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse Wallace of Conway; her son, Michael Zagyi and his wife Lee of Summit, New Jersey; her daughter, Deborah Rubin and her husband Robert of Toms River, New Jersey; her grandchildren, Christopher Zagyi and fiancee Melissa Wendt and Kelli Vyshnovskyy and husband Yuriy; her stepson, Melvyn Wallace and his wife Cynthia of Asheboro, North Carolina; her stepdaughter, Tina Moore and her husband Paul of Woodbridge, New Jersey; 11 stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; her sister, Margie Kay Hendrick and her husband Wayne of Frankton, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Deborah Wallace; and her sister, Gretchen Anne Napier.
A memorial service was held on April 1.
Arrangements were handled by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
