Marjorie Ellen MacPherson, 90, of Martinsville passed from this life in the early morning hours on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Greenwood Village South in Greenwood.

She graduated from Veedersburg High School with the Class of 1944. On June 29, 1946, she married her husband of 71 years, Clarence C. MacPherson. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 2011.
Marjorie worked for Hoyt Wright Co. in Anderson as a sales clerk for more than 26 years before her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Chesterfield.
Marjorie greatly enjoyed shopping, music, dancing, and watching television. Above all, her greatest passion and the joy of her life was her family.
She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family including her son, Gregory N. MacPherson of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Marcia (husband, Jon) Gibson Hatcher of Henderson, Nevada, and Terry (husband, Chuck) Rutledge of Martinsville; sister, Dorothy Sisk of South Bend; sisters-in-law, Jane Frazee and Pat Frazee; grandchildren, Krista, Chris, Jon, Laura, Anne, and Ellie; and her great- grandchildren, Sadie, Micah, Cameron, Liam, Sammie, and Allie.
Besides her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Rex Frazee; and sisters, Katherine Harrison and Martha Sue Briggs.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at the mausoleum chapel at Anderson Memorial Park in Anderson. A service celebrating her life will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the chapel. She will be laid to rest alongside her late husband following the service.
Due to Marjorie's love for children and her desire to help those in need, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to The Ronald McDonald House in her memory.
