Mary A. Bentley, 82, of Anderson passed away Jan. 26, 2017, at Community Hospital, Anderson. She was born May 27, 1934, in Bradfordsville, Ky., and resided most of her life in Anderson.
She was a homemaker and had worked for Guide Lamp Division of General Motors for several years.
She attended South Meridian Church of God for over 50 years and was a member of the WCG women's group at the church, the TOPS Club, formerly involved with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and helped start the Girls Little League Softball in Anderson.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, David E. Bentley; children, Curtis D. (Brenda) Bentley, Valarie (Gary) Mullins and Karen (Jeff) Friedman; brother, Chuck (Dianna) Harmon; grandchildren, Jill Angelle, Tim Carter, David (Keena) Bentley, Neal (Sarah) Mullins, Lauren Mullins, Luke Bentley and Samantha Friedman; great-grandchildren, Kayla Rummel, Jordan Rummel, Chasity Carter, Sarah Angelle, Amy Angelle, Matthew Angelle, Abigail Bentley, Ayden Bentley and Charlie Crosby; and great-great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Weston and Zephyr Lacy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Allen Humble; granddaughter, Nikki Reese; mother, Etta Mae Harmon; father, Charles Bateman Harmon; sisters, Carol Breese and Opal Harmon; brothers, Hubert Harmon and Bill Harmon; and her stepson, Larry Bentley.
Visitation will be Monday at 4 to 8 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson.
Services 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Ed Hyatt officiating.
Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.
