Mary M. Tooley, 99, Anderson, passed away April 14, 2017, at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield due to natural causes.
She was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Terre Haute, the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (Jordan) Egnew.
Mary obtained a teaching certificate from Indiana State University, and moved to Anderson in the 1940s. She was a homemaker and made many friends selling Avon for 13 years. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Janet Tooley, of Florida, David Tooley, of Nevada, Phil (Jan Myers) Tooley, of Pendleton, Marilyn (Rob) Priddy, of North Carolina, Jim Tooley, of South Carolina and Becky (Stan) Novakoski, of Anderson; grandchildren, Polly Weiss, Danielle Palmer-Corya, Nikki Bleill, April Miles, Drew Tooley, Kyle Priddy, Katie Priddy, Christian Tooley, Jessica Baumann, Bethany Robinson, Hannah Weidman, Daniel Novakoski; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Marion E. Tooley, and four brothers and two sisters.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rusty Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
