Mary J. Trissel, 94, of Frankton, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017, at Community Hospital of Anderson.
She was born Aug. 19, 1922, in Anderson, to James Aynes Sr. and Lena (Ashby) Aynes.
On March 24, 1940, she married the love of her life, Donald R. Trissel, and he preceded her in death.
In 1987, Mary retired from Guide Lamp after 19 years of service. Mary was an avid Cubs fan and was thrilled she made it to see them win the World Series. She was a member of the Frankton Christian Church and enjoyed playing bingo.
She will be sadly missed but joyfully remembered by her loving family and friends.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Rowlena Blackford of Elwood; son, Richard (Dianna) Trissel of Alexandria; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Paula Trissel of Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lena Aynes; husband, Donald Trissel; daughter, Donna Cox; son, Rickey Trissel; and brothers, Raymond Aynes and James Aynes Jr.
Private family services were held in accordance with Mary's wishes.
Harper and Dunnichay Funeral Home was entrusted with Mary's final arrangements.
