Nancy J. Pedro, 77, of Frankton, died Monday, March 13, 2017, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
She was born on Sept. 1, 1939, in Elwood, to Joseph and Helen (Benedict) Hocker. Nancy was a homemaker, and devoted to her family. She was a 1957 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School in Elwood and later married Lawrence "Larry" Pedro on Sept. 11, 1960.
Nancy was an avid Colts fan, and enjoyed bowling with her league for more than 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, and had made numerous afghans. Most of all, she loved spending time with all her family.
Nancy's family includes two sons, Tim (Kathy) Pedro, and Joe (Cindy) Pedro; daughter, Lora (Jeff) Cooper; 12 grandchildren, Amanda, Megan, Becky, Joe, Jon, Hannah, Kyle, Cory, Ross, Austin, Zachary and Logan; three brothers, John (Barbara) Hocker, Jerry (Bonnie) Hocker and Larry (Sharon) Hocker; sister, Linda (Mike) Hardin; aunt, Betty Dobbin; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence "Larry" Pedro; sister, Margaret Muston; and granddaughter, Madison.
A memorial service celebrating Nancy's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 1500 North A St., Elwood, with the Rev. Doug Bohall officiating. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Elwood. Arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.
