Norma Jean (Brown) Browning, 89, of Anderson died April 3, 2017, at Golden Living Center in Muncie after an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 28, 1927, in Anderson, the daughter of Raymond and Emma (Ashby) Brown. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickey (Steve) Brown; four grandchildren, Jenny Vanmatre, Tracy Pettigrew, Shawna Hill and Joshua Harris; four great-grandkids, Zach, Troy, Wes and Carrie; four great- great-grandkids, D.J., Jaxson, Maycee and Tinleigh; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Browning; daughter, Pamela Smith; two sisters, Evelyn Barrett and Frances Myers; and brother, Norman Brown.
A private family service will take place at a later date. Burial of cremated remains will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Madison County Humane Society.
