Rebecca J. "Becky" Haneline, 73, of Anderson and formerly Elwood, died Feb. 17, 2017, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis.
She was born Sept. 16, 1943, in Anderson, daughter of Robert and Mary (Davis) Cloud. She was a 1962 graduate of Willkie High School in Elwood, and later married Anthony Haneline Aug. 4, 1962.
Becky was a substitute teacher at Edgewood Elementary School in Elwood, and also formerly worked at Marsh Supermarket in the deli and owned Becky's Ceramics in Elwood. She enjoyed crocheting and selling crafts; formerly bowled in Elwood bowling leagues; and wrote a column, "The Hanging Basket," for many years in the Call-Leader newspaper.
Family includes husband of 54 years, Anthony Haneline, of Anderson; children, April Simpson (Chris Sagarsee), of Pendleton, and Tyler Haneline, of Anderson; five grandchildren, Whitney Haneline, Zack Robertson, Jon Wright, Quentin Simpson, Kyndal Sagarsee; two great-grandchildren, Jayden Brock and Zaine Wright; three sisters, Linda Jones, Carolyn French and Jacalyn Brown; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kim Haneline, in 2008; and grandson, Joshua Haneline, in 2007.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood, with Rich Leavell officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Haneline Grandchildren College Fund through funeral home.
