Robert Russell "Russ" Clendenin, age 76, of Anderson, passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
Russ was born on Sept. 20, 1940, in Anderson to Robert Clendenin and Viola (Noble) Moore. On Nov. 21, 1987, he married Cecile (Bentz) Clendenin.
Russ was a retired truck driver, driving mostly for McCord Brothers of Frankton. Russ enjoyed horses and was very involved with the 4-H Horse Club and the Equestrian Club.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, of 30 years, Cecile (Bentz) Clendenin, of Anderson; sons, Randy (Julie) Clendenin, of Markleville, and Ryan Clendenin, of Anderson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph (Karen) Clendenin, of Anderson, and Ronnie (Jackie) Clendenin, of Chesterfield; sister, Janie (Gary) Bohannon, of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Clendenin; mother, Viola Moore; son, Bobby Clendenin; and brother, Richard Clendenin.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, with Pastor Art Jaggart officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Jones Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Madison County 4-H Horse & Pony Club.
