He entered the service as an Army Medic in 1950 and served in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1952 and began attending Anderson College. He graduated in 1957 with a degree in biology.
While attending Anderson College and South Meridian Church of God, he met and eventually married (July 10, 1952) Juanita Braswell, who was finishing her classes in elementary education at Anderson College. They made their home in Alexandria where they faithfully attended the Alexandria Church of God. Keith gained employment at the Alexandria Junior High as an industrial arts teacher in the fall of 1960. By 1962, Keith and Juanita had four children. He continued his education and earned a master's degree in education from Ball State University in 1965.
All four children survive: son, Stephen K. (Connie) Gray; daughter, D'Ellen J. (Carlos) Parter; daughter, Sharon E. (Wayne) Priest; and son, Michael N. (Kathy) Gray. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Keith was preceded in death by his loving spouse, Juanita Braswell Gray; and his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Lewis (Barbara) Gray and Myron Eugene "Dean" (Mary) Gray.
Keith received wonderful care from the staff at Bethany Pointe during the last days of his life for which his family is extremely grateful.
