CARMEL [mdash] Ronald Reas, 80, of Carmel, passed away on April 3, 2017, at the Bickford of Carmel.
He was born on July 26, 1936 in Edon, Ohio, and resided in Anderson from 1958 until 2015.
Ron graduated from Edon High School in 1954 and Purdue University in 1958 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
He retired from Guide Lamp after 34 years of service.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling, photography and was a film buff.Ron is survived by his daughter, Erin (Scott) Williams; daughter-in-law, Sue Reas; grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Samantha Reas, and Rebecca (Ryan) Krenzke; and great-grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Reas; son, Evan Reas; and parents, Earnest and Thelma Reas.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
