Rose T. Slack, 77, of Anderson, passed away April 21, 2017, at her residence. She was born on June 17, 1939, in Bedford, Indiana to the late Jeptha and Virginia (Petty) Thomas.
She retired from Guide Corporation after 20 years of service. Rose was a member of the New Hope Trinity Church in Anderson and the local UAW. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and birds.
Rose is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lindy Slack of Anderson; children, Lisa (Craig) Miller of Anderson, stepdaughter, Debbie Moody of Anderson; grandchildren, Christopher S. Gross Jr., Lindsay (Justin) Wood, Steven (Nina) Robinson; great-grandchildren, Christopher M. Gross, Keygan Robinson and one on the way. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rena Jo Eller Gross; and siblings, Clinton Thomas, Deloris Jenkins and JW Thomas.
Service will be at noon Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Clifton and Landal Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Grovelawn cemetery, Pendleton.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
