Shirley Temple Brown passed away on Aug. 29, 2017, at the home of Craig Shuman after a long fight with cancer.
Shirley was born in Detroit, Mich., on Feb. 4, 1936, to parents Agnes Mathia Hansen Shepherd and William Shepherd.
She worked in Anderson at Hook's, Leath Furniture, Fair Store, Goehring's, The Peddler, Photoplay Lab, Playland Photo Studio, Barr-Rich and Patchwork as a seamstress and Hoosier Park. Back in the day she flipped houses and loved it. And she really loved Tuesday nights for dinner and cards at Dewey's.
She is survived by her grandson, Troy Gerrard, Virginia; and cat, Miko.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, William Stanley Shepherd.
A special thank you to Craig Shuman for his love and care for many years and at the end of her life as well as Brooke Hammond for her love and care at the end of her life. Thank you too to Tania Thomas who cared for her the past 18 months.
She will be sadly missed by so many and remembered as a happy and caring person who liked to eat out and enjoy life.

Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Protection League in Anderson.
There will be no services per her request. Cremation took place.
