Stella Joan (Sullivan) Reff, 89, of Anderson, died at her daughter's residence after an extended illness.
She was born April 6, 1927, in Anderson to Edward Sullivan and Irene (Johnson) Detty-Jones.
She owned Jo's Beauty Shop for six years; worked part time at St. John's and Community Hospitals in the dietary department and sold Avon.
She attended East Lynn Christian Church.
She loved yard work, crocheting afghans, watching sports on TV and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Jim) Atwell of Anderson; her son, Bob (Darla) Closser of Anderson; four grandchildren, Tami Atwell of Anderson, Tawni (Brad) Dedman of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Zachary Closser of Florida, and Richard Closser (fiancee, Sara Hullinger) of Mountainview, Calif.; great- grandchildren, Davie Closser, Gideon Closser and Henley Dedman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Joe Detty; first husband, Richard Reff; second husband, Myron Vanderbur; and third husband, Robey Reff in 2005; a sister, Jean Robbins; and brother, Ed Sullivan.
Services will be held at noon Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor David Reames of Madison Park Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the service at noon Thursday at the funeral home.
