Terry Lehr, 60, Anderson, passed away Feb. 24, 2017, after a sudden illness.
Terry was born July 12, 1956, in Martinsville, Indiana. After graduating from Martinsville High School, he proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Terry was an avid football and Colts fan and was a volunteer coach for Anderson Youth Football for 14 years, where he was known by a generation of kids as "Coach Terry" of the "Pepsi Colts." After retiring from Wonder Bread and Bakery, he spent his time restoring his historic home that was his "deal of a lifetime."
He was preceded in death by his son, Terry J. Lehr II (T.J.); his parents, Herman and Georgia Lehr; his brother, David Lehr; and sister, Alice Hornaday.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Arletta "Rene" Lehr; sons, William "Trea" Lehr (Megan Pulkkinen), Seth Lehr, Caden Lehr, and Mason Kyan Lehr; friend, Zack Andrews; five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by grandson and best buddy, Noah Lehr.
Services are being held by Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services, 504 W. Ninth St., Anderson. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday March 1, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. with services to follow.
