Vickie Lynn Fitzsimmons, 55, passed away on Feb. 7, 2017.
She was born Oct. 21, 1961, in Muncie, to Roy and Mary Wilber.
Vickie met Mark Fitzsimmons in high school. They were married and depended on one another until her passing. She had many interests and skills. She was a candy striper at Community Hospital, worked at MCL, Ponderosa, and as a detailer at S & S Fire Apparatus. Most recently, Vickie was a bartender at Grasshoppers and the Veterans of Madison County.
Vickie and Mark enjoyed playing darts and 8 Ball. They were members of the American Pool Association. They built their lives around each other and enjoyed family and friends.
Left to cherish Vickie's memory are her husband, Mark Fitzsimmons; daughter, Stephanie Fitzsimmons; grandson, Strider Fitzsimmons; mother, Mary Derringer; brothers, Alan (Karen) Wilber and Jerry (Jenee) Wilber; stepsisters, Lavonne (Bob) Widmer and Carolyn (Dan) Chastain; nephews, Jeremy Wilber and David Reed; niece, Cheyenne Reed; stepgrandson, Brandon Campbell; great-nieces, Jerica Wilber, Jalissa Wilber, and Rayna Wilber; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; dear friends, Lisa Auler and Eva Lacey; and her special furry friends, Duke, Sheba, and Cybill.
Preceding Vickie in death are her daughters, Lorelei and Tasha Wilber; father, Roy Wilber; sisters, Sue Voorhis and Lisa Wilber; stepfather, William "Bill" Derringer; and grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services. The Rev. Benny Santiago will preside.
