William's Story

William Judgement Linch, 93, Knightstown, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Hancock Regional Hospital.
He was born July 21, 1923, in Warrington, the son of William A. and Mary L. (Masters) Linch.
He retired from Delco Remy, Anderson, in 1984 after 33 years and was a lifelong farmer in the Henry County area.
Judge was a member of the Knightstown Masonic Lodge for more than 60 years. He also belonged to the Scottish Rite, Order of the Golden Rule, Eastern Star and was a faithful member of the Knightstown First Christian Church.
Judge enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling to South Dakota to go pheasant hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Betty (Scovell) Linch; son, Jeffrey W. (Janet) Linch, Knightstown; daughter, Karen K. (Charles R.) Vise, Knightstown; three grandsons, Scot (Loretta) Moore, Greenfield, Erich Moore, Knightstown, and Justin (Lisa) Linch, McCordsville; three great- grandchildren, Hagan Moore, Austin and Brody Linch; a great-niece; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by parents; and a sister, Catherine Linch Holliday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Masonic services will be at 6 p.m. Monday.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Richard Thayer and Anthony Darling officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery.
