Arlene Helen Geneva, 84, formerly of Panama City Beach, Florida, and formerly of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Hampton, New Hampshire.
Arlene was born in Anderson, Indiana, one of three children to George R. Sr. and Helen (Tomko) Springer.
Arlene was a 1958 graduate of Anderson High School and enjoyed every class reunion reconnecting with classmates. While in Anderson, Arlene worked at Nicholson File and Anderson Memorial Park, while raising her family.
In 1999, Arlene and her husband Lou relocated to Panama City Beach, Florida. Once settled in Florida, Arlene enjoyed many years working in the onsite administrative office at Wild Heron, helping to establish the now prestigious gated community.
For 25+ years, Arlene proudly served her community through the Panama City Beach Women's Civic Club where she made lifelong friends that are revered to this day.
Arlene had a big heart and was a wonderful person. She was the epitome of elegance and a beautiful soul who was easy to talk with, making friends with everyone she met. Her smile lit up the room and her laughter was contagious. We were truly blessed to have such an amazing Wife, Daughter, Sister, Mother, Nana and Friend in our lives.
Arlene was preceded in death by the love of her life for 49 years Louis L. Geneva Sr.; and her brother, George R. Springer Jr.
Left to treasure her memories are her sister, Marilyn (Springer) Bales of Holland, Michigan; son, Andrew Dent and wife Denise of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Allison Angelico and husband Daniel of Boston, Massachusetts; stepdaughter, Nichel Adams of Albemarle, North Carolina; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends across the country.
All services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Arlene's memory to the Women's Civic Club of Panama City Beach, FL, Inc. P.O. Box 9759, Panama City Beach, FL 32417.
