Arlene Dawn MacMillan, 89, of Anderson, passed away April 10, 2025, at Sugar Fork Crossing in Anderson.
She was born January 21, 1936, in Riverdale, Illinois, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
Arlene graduated from New Carlisle High School.
Later in life, she went back to school to achieve her life long dream of becoming a nurse, and at age 42 she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She put her dreams aside to be a stay-at-home wife for her husband and six children she loved dearly.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends, getting together once a week with her Magic group and once a month to play cards. She loved crafts, reading and spending time with her family.
Arlene is survived by her children, Crystal Bain, Mark (Marguerite) MacMillan, Kim (Clayton) Smith, Teri (Scott) McIntyre and Michael (Mary) MacMillan; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Milford K. "Mac" MacMillan; daughter, Melody Wimpy; grandsons, Landon Smith and Clinton Ingram, parents and siblings.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana.
Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Rob Mifflin officiating
Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
