Betty Joan Nuce

Betty Joan (Musick) Nuce of Anderson, Indiana, died peacefully surrounded by her family on April 15, 2025, at the age of 94.
She was born to Virgil and Lillian Musick on April 1, 1931. She was married to Ronald Nuce for 58 years. They had three children whom she loved fiercely, Debby, Tammy and Mark.
Betty retired from Delco Remy after 30 years. During that time she was a member of ABWA. In 1948, Betty was runner up in a Miss Anderson Pageant. After retirement, she and Ron moved to Loogootee, Indiana and they had a house on a lake which was always their dream and they wintered in Seminole, Florida. She loved to plant flowers and could make anything grow. She loved to read, spend time with her family, and watch her boys play baseball.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; a brother named Billy Musick; and her beloved husband.
She is survived by her children, Debby (Dennis) Willis of Loogootee, Indiana, Tammy (Brian) Dwiggins of Anderson, and Mark (Linda) Nuce of Anderson; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and recently one great-great-granddaughter.
We want to give a special thank you to her hospice nurse Jen; her caregivers, Misty, Jessica, Lora, Deana; and her granddaughter, Michelle who worked tirelessly to keep her comfortable in her last days. They made it possible for her to be able to stay in her home.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Loose Funeral Home, Anderson.
A graveside service will be held at noon Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Tom Metzger officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Tree Planting Timeline

Orders placed in:

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
