Anderson, IN - Carolyn Wilhoite, 92, our sweet mother and friend went home to Jesus on Jan. 23, 2026.
Those who knew or met her know that there are no words to describe our mom. Faith was the foundation of her life and she was a fierce prayer warrior. She loved deeply and gave grace from her heart to anyone and everyone. Mom was a beautiful soul inside and out. Her love will continue to live in our hearts and memories forever. Thank you to Community Hospital and Northview for all the care and love given to mom.
Preceded in passing by her parents, Frank and Helen Whipple; her loving husband, Jim Wilhoite; her sons, Daniel and Thomas McConnell; father, James McConnell; siblings, Ruth Miller, Josie Hall, Judy Street, and Bob Whipple.
Survived by son, Guy McConnell; daughters, Nancy Wile (Kip) McConnell and Alicia Bays (Brian) Sue Wilhoite; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Humphries; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Loose Funeral Home and Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Hilligoss officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local homeless shelter in Anderson.
