Cathy Sue Stinson
March 22, 1944 - April 14, 2025
Cathy S. Stinson, 81, of Carmel, passed away on April 14, 2025.
She was born on March 22, 1944, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Clifford and Lou (McDavid) Wellman.
Cathy was a graduate of Pendleton High School in 1962. She served her community for many years as a volunteer for several organizations, including St. Vincent's Carmel Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Max L. Stinson; son, Mark (Andrea Koch); and her siblings, Kip (Toni) Wellman and Jeanne Wellman Bussel.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sherry Wellman Humfleet.
The family would like to thank Magnolia Springs, Story Cottage of Meridian Hills, and Luminary Hospice for their kindness and care towards Cathy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cathy's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 and Humane Society for Hamilton County, 10501 Hague Rd., Fishers, IN 46038.
Private services are being held for the family.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
