Christi A. Hart, 55, of Pendleton, passed away March 30, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after an extended illness.
She was born in Anderson on Oct. 17, 1961, and resided most of her life in Anderson and Pendleton. She graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1979.
Christi had worked at the Rawlins House for 14 years and then Guide Corp for 10 years. She was also a jewelry designer and volunteered at Anita's Kitchen.
She is survived by her parents, Terry and Donetta McKinnon of Pendleton; her brother, Kevin Thompson of Beech Grove; her sister, Kelli Whitehead (fiance, Jerry O'Bryant) of Anderson; grandmother, Beverly Thompson of Anderson; nephews, Ryan (wife, Erika) Whitehead of Pendleton and Austin Thompson of Beech Grove; great niece, Sadie Whitehead of Pendleton; uncle, Barry (wife, Becky) King of Pendleton; aunts, Rebecca King of Anderson, Tricia (husband, Mike) Gale of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Cathy Kirk (fiance, Nick Volz) of Fishers, Julie (husband, Stan) Clark of Lapel and Nancy (husband, Ed) Burke of Anderson; and several special cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Melba King and Fred Thompson Sr.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Charlie Soden officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pendleton Ambulance.
