Gilbert, Arizona - Constance Achor Gaw, 88, formerly of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, in Gilbert, Arizona.

Connie was the daughter of Mary K. Klee and Robert L. Achor. She was a 1955 graduate of Anderson High School, where she was junior and senior class vice president, a 1959 graduate of Indiana University, where she pledged the Chi Omega sorority, and a Ball State University graduate with a masters degree in education.

She loved her family dearly and enjoyed working as a teacher and later, as a Realtor.

Along with her husband Harold, the love of her life, she treasured 19 special years together snowbirding in Venice, Florida, and making memories with family. While there, they enjoyed close friendships, boating, sunsets on the beach, growing in their faith and serving the Lord at Venice Presbyterian Church.

She volunteered at the Venice Theater, the local hospital emergency room helping others in need, and being a member of the "Best of Attitude" group.

Connie was known for her creative artistic style, her love of music and dancing, her positive attitude and being a friend to all.

She is survived by her children, Steven Zierer and Pamela (Stephen) Mounts, also Mickey (Barbara) Gaw, John (Brenda) Gaw, and Marcia (James) Turner; grandchildren, Devyn and Weston Zierer, Ethan and Joel Mounts; nine additional grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two half sisters, Janet French and Katie (Mike) Bruton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gaw in 2015; her brother, Ronald Achor; her half sister, Suzanne Overstreet; her daughter, Deborah Zierer; and granddaughter, Angela Stiles.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson, Indiana, on Monday, May 11, at 1 p.m.

Donations in her memory may be made to Samaritan's Purse or Dementia Society of America.

Connie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
