Middletown, Indiana - Connie Jayne Gibson, 87, of Middletown, passed away on April 19, 2026.
She was born April 18, 1939, in Anderson. She grew up in Sulphur Springs and attended Sulphur Springs High School.
She spent many dedicated years working at Ed Martin and retired from there in 2002.
Connie married the love of her life, Jerry D. Gibson, in 1985. They were members of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club, and loved finding new restaurants to try on their adventures.
Connie enjoyed camping and fishing, and more than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmit S. and Berniece R. Harmeson; as well as her beloved son, Tony B. Day.
Connie is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Gibson; her dog, Molly; her daughter, Nancy (Tod) Shepard; stepsons, Scott (Donna) Gibson and Mark Gibson; grandchildren, Justin, Allison, Avery, Megan, Levi, and Mya; two great-grandchildren, Vance and Nova; and many lifelong friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown with Pastor Phil Rogers officiating. Burial to follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Henry County Hospice at 798 N. 16th St., New Castle, IN 47362. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
