Daniel W. Stahura


MUNCIE [mdash] Daniel W. Stahura 81, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 14, 2019, at Elmcroft.
He was born in January 1938 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of John and Josephine Stahura. Dan received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering from Youngstown State University.
He worked for General Motors, Magna Quench and Delphi as an engineer for 35 years.
He held several patents. He loved his job and received great satisfaction from it. He loved to play golf, tennis and racquetball.
Survived by his three children, Susan Abbott of California, Linda Lauthern (husband, Kevin) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and Daniel Stahura of Boardman, Ohio; two stepchildren, Denise Pomeroy (husband, Dave) of Franklin, Tennessee and Michael Cantanzarite of Yorktown; five grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Stacy, Jonathan and Jarrod; one step-grandson, Dominic Cantanzarite; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Irene Fedak; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Terry Stahura; his second wife, Mary Lou (Yacko) Stahura; and son-in-law Bill Abbott.
Dan's wishes were to be cremated.
