David Lee Abraham Obituary

David Lee Abraham, 54, Fortville, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home following an extended illness. He was born on Sept. 29, 1958, in Tipton, to Ronald and Naomi (Louks) Abraham. He graduated from Zionsville Community High School in 1976 and served in the U.S. Army. David had been employed by H & R Block and also Allison Transmission. He was a life member of the Russell Bastian AMVETS of Marion and had served as commander, finance officer, and held the state chaplain office at one time. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kathy (Walker) Abraham; two children, Mike Dozier of Martinsville and Breanna Abraham (fiance, Matt Scott) of Pendleton; one granddaughter, Avalee Dozier; his parents, Ronald and Naomi (Louks) Abraham of Zionsville; two sisters, Debora (husband, Keith) Lyon of Zionsville, and Darla (husband, David) Turner of Indianapolis; one brother, Dale (wife, Timi) Abraham of Lapel; two special friends, Nina Beeman and Shirley Hutchison; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., Lapel, with Pastor David Cox officiating.
