Anderson - David Lee Brooks Sr., 75, passed away on Jan. 2, 2026.

Dave was born on Aug. 31, 1950, to Oliver, Jr. and Queen Brooks.

He was a 1969 graduate of Anderson High School and a General Motors retiree.

Dave enjoyed music, playing his guitar and spending time with family and friends.

Dave is survived by his mother, Queen Brooks; daughters, Trena (Marcus) White, Vonka Boulware; son, David Brooks Jr.; sisters, Paulette (Wayne) Chatman, Rachel (Brennen) Steele, Marquirite Brooks; brother, Ronnie Brooks; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be at noon Friday at Glazebrooks Funeral Service, 2822 Nichol Ave., with visitation two hours prior to service. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery, followed by the repast at Anderson Zion Family Life Center, 2008 Rev. J.T. Menifee St., Anderson.
