Lapel, IN - Deanna Yancey, of Lapel, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 26, 1938, to Charles "Chad" and Beryl (Ruby) Goff.

She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1956, and attended Indiana University. She was married to Bob Yancey for 48 years before Bob's death in 2006. She and Bob owned and operated Yancey's Markets in Anderson and Lapel.

Deanna was a member of Freedom House Church at Anderson University. She was a true and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She had many very dear friends and always enjoyed her bible study groups and lunch after church with friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, Chad and Beryl Goff; mother and father-in-law, Barnard and Velma Yancey; sister and brother-in-law, Saundra and Fred Ball; sisters-in-law, Janet Fetters and Carolyn Yancey; and niece, Cheryl Ball Overdorf.

She is survived by her children, Scott Yancey and Joy (Jerry) McClintock, all of Anderson, and Chad (Kara) Yancey of Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Kyla (Jan) Anderson of New Castle, Dr. Conner (Sydney) Yancey of Fairborn, Ohio, and Dr. Erin Yancey, Akron, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Delaney, Dean and Lucas Anderson, Gentry and Hallie Clapper and Micah and Amelia Yancey.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.

Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
