Diana R. Stevens, 81, of Anderson, passed away on April 21, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Diana was born on Jan. 5, 1943, in Owen County, Kentucky, to James E. Smith and Margaret (Underwood) Poor. Diana worked for a number of years as a waitress but recently, she worked for Publix in Florida.

She loved driving her Mustang convertible with the top down through the back roads of Florida. Diana enjoyed reading, Sudoku, and people watching. Diana worked her whole life, so she enjoyed the little things in life, like visiting her favorite beach, Picnic Island in Florida. Most importantly, Diana loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Diana will be dearly missed by her son, Brent (Susan) Smith; grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Luke Smith, and Shannon Smith; great-grandchildren, Colton and Lennox; siblings, Madeleine Lawson, Donald Smith, Mary Ann (Ervin) Shubert, and Kathey Smith-Holmes; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Smith; grandson, Steven Smith; and beloved dog, Benji.

The graveside ceremony will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, at East Maplewood Cemetery, 200 College Drive, Anderson.

Diana's services have been entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home.
