ANDERSON [mdash]Dorothy A. (Lutz) Jackson, 97, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, at Community Northview Health and Living following an extended illness.

She was born to Carrie Edith (Parmer) and Luther Lutz in Wabash on Dec. 26, 1921. In 1931 the family moved to Anderson to follow Luther's furniture business. She was a member of the Anderson High School Class of 1940. On Feb. 23, 1941, she married the love of her life, Robert Lee Jackson, and together they raised their family.

She was a wonderful mother who loved needlepoint, cooking, but mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Juliann Williams, Margaret Brow, Millie (Danny) Warrum, Bobbi Crouch and John (Tina) Jackson; sisters, Mary Jane Bridges, of Noblesville, and Judy (Don) Huffer, of Carmel; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sara Lutz Marling; brother, Parmer Lutz; husband, Robert Lee Jackson; and sons-in-law, Mike Brow, Bill Williams and Joe Crouch.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Brandy Neff, Andrea Plough, Brenda Bowers and posthumously, Robin Basey; and also the staff at Community Northview Health and Living for their continuous care.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Rev. P.T. Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.
