Anderson, Indiana - Edward E. Batts, 74, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at his home in Anderson, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Feb. 6, 1948, in Lebanon, Indiana, to Frank Edward and Martha L. (Osborn) Batts. He was a 1966 graduate of Zionsville High School.

He retired from Anderson Power Company after 30 years of employment as a lineman. He was an N.G. Lighten Ball Insulator. He received the Indiana Red Cross Lifesaving award. Ed was a worker bee.

Edward is survived by his wife whom he married April 2, 1989, Janette (Tietsort) Batts; his children, Barbara (husband, Charlie) Muedano, Nathan Batts, Magan Batts, Jeremy (wife, Anita) Byrne, Joel (wife, JoEllen) Byrne, John (wife, Jennifer) Huther, Jack (wife, Taeier) Huther; brother, Ronald P. (wife, Linda) Batts; sister, Marty (husband, Keith) Campbell; 10 grandchildren; and many lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no services for Edward as his wishes were to be cremated.
