Edward Wayne Hendrick Obituary

Edward Wayne Hendrick of Frankton passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 83.

Wayne was born to Roy and Ida Hendrick on April 12, 1942. He worked predominantly as a mechanic in Frankton, owning Hendricks Wrecker Service, and later Hendricks Garage with his grandson, Josh. He also spent over 20 years as a plumbing specialist at Lowe's.

Wayne married Margie Kay Lewis, on Aug. 12, 1961, and they shared 55 years together.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Marsha Kitchen; grandsons, Josh (Sara) Hendrick, Justin (Jami) Kitchen, Jarrod (Jessica) Kitchen, and Jake Kitchen; and granddaughters, Daijia and Malaija Kitchen, and Terra (Jason) Linder.

He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Gage, Nate, Joe, Ty, Niko, Eddie, Ashby, Adler, Rowan, Audrey, Isaac, Inslie, Silas, Trey, and Kaden; sister, Kathy Partlow; sister-in-law, Jeanie Hendrick; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and parents, Wayne was preceded in death by sister, Ruth Rainer; brother, Tom Hendrick; father-in-law, Clifton Lewis; mother-in-law, Alpha Lewis; sister-in-law, Marilyn Wallace; brother-in-law, Fred Partlow; and loyal puppy, Maddie.

Services for Wayne have been entrusted to Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home of Frankton, Indiana.

A public committal service is scheduled for this Thursday, April 17, at the K of P IOOF Cemetery. The service will begin at 3:45 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Hilligoss officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
