Elizabeth Rose Marie Mae Rodney, 89, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on Oct. 11, 1935, in Anderson, Indiana, to her parents, Clyde and Ruby Smith.
Elizabeth graduated from Anderson High School.
She retired as a tool and die maker from Delco Remy, where she worked for 45 years.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Anderson for several years, and was an avid collector. She loved to play the piano, crochet, shop, and being a mother.
Elizabeth raised seven children, Derek (Katherine) Wilbur, David (Debra) Wilbur, (sister) Susie (John) Goldsberry, Diane Philpott, Dan (Karen Lawrence) Wilbur, Ann Marie (Chris Miltenberger) Suter, Joe (Bekah Snyder-Logan) Rodney; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Marileen Meador, Douglas (Pam) Smith and Pam Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jackie Smith, Robert Smith, Phillip (Sue) Smith and Faith Smith.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday, March 14, 2025, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson.
Services will follow visitation at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will take place after the service.
