Anderon, IN - Evelyn L. Martin, 86, of Anderson, passed away on Dec. 4, 2025, at Countryside Manor Health and Living Community.
She was born on June 6, 1939, in Rushville, Indiana.
Evelyn graduated from Rushville High School and Amber's Beauty School in Muncie.
She was an optometric technician for Dr. Scott in Hartford City, Dr. Wesser, Drs. Mayer and Patrohay, Dr. Happel, and Dr. Makris.
Evelyn is survived by her loving spouse of 68 years, James R. Martin; daughter, Cindy (Rick) Netherton; stepgrandchildren, Hayley (Doug) Trefun and Joshua Netherton; great-grandchildren, Juna Trefun and Charlie Trefun; sister, Clydie (Richard) Moore; several other half siblings and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd "Fuzzy" Samuel and Mildred Foster.
Cremation will take place, with a celebration of life at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Shrine Club in her honor.
