Anderson, Indiana - Gary Alan Lee, 80, of Anderson, passed away on Dec. 11, 2025, at Bethany Pointe after an extended illness.
Gary was born on Oct. 13, 1945, in Anderson. Gary retired from General Motors (Guide) after 36 years of service. He continued to work for Little League Baseball, the City of Anderson, and as a volunteer at Alternatives Inc.
He is survived by son, Michael (Johna) Lee of Anderson; brother, Dan Lee of Pendleton; sister, Janice (Tom) Cable of Amboy; brother, Robert (Sandy) Lee of Mount Pleasant, Michigan; grandchildren, Kate (Melissa) Lee of Anderson, Hannah (Michael) Farmer of Anderson, Rachel (Daniel) Hoover of Minnesota; several great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Dwayne (Kathy) Sheppard of Pendleton.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Jo, daughter, Jennifer Mitchell, and sister, Carolyn Carter.
Gary will be laid to rest, in accordance with his wishes, at a private ceremony at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery in the coming days.
