Gerald (Jerry) W Carpenter
Gerald (Jerry) Wayne Carpenter, 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Oct. 28, 2019 after an extended illness.

He was born on July 1, 1939 in Anderson, to Walter and Ruby (Smith) Carpenter, and has lived in Chattanooga, TN for several years. He was a graduate of Anderson High School. He loved his Lord and family.

Survivors include his sister Judith (Russell) Franklin; brother David Carpenter, Houston, TX; three daughters, Kimetta (Chuck) Spall; Cheryl VanWagner; April (George) Hutson; four sons, Jerry (Shannon) Carpenter; Darrell Carpenter; Robert (Debbie) Jenny; and John Jenny; six grandchildren, Shalee Spall; Hannah VanWagner; Melody Hutson; Brooklyn, Isaiah, Micah Carpenter; great grandchild Tinsley Spall; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 33 years, Brenda (Magdelen) Carpenter.

A Memorial Service is scheduled Saturday, November 9th at 4 pm at Lookout Valley Baptist Church, Chattanooga, TN with Pastor Troy Walliser officiating.

Thinking of you all with great love, the sweetest memories and prayers for comfort, peace and hope today! I love each of you kids very muchπŸ’—! I pray as you celebrate and remember Uncle Jerry that each of you experience an extra measure of God's presence and love with you today!
I will always remember him as bold in his faith and never missing the opportunity to share Gods gift to the world with others! I will always be convicted by this and hold that dear in my ❀️!
