Anderson, IN - Glenellen (McKinley) Ausmus, 80, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, in Anderson, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on Nov. 26, 1945, in Marion, Indiana, she was the daughter of Bill and Evelyn (Vandevender) McKinley. She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1964 and married Danny Lee Ausmus on July 3, 1967.
Glenellen was a devoted homemaker who loved her family above all else. She especially cherished being a grandmother and great-grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed mowing the yard, pulling weeds in her flower beds, and watching IU Basketball and Indiana Fever games.
Glenellen is survived by her daughter, Donna Hammitt; granddaughters, Breanna Vibbert, Brittney (Matt) Kapuscinski, Kegan Rose; great-grandchildren, Kingston Anderson, Khalil Anderson, Rylee Faris, Quinnlee Kapuscinski, Karlee Rose, and Kyler Rose.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lee Ausmus; parents, Bill and Evelyn McKinley; and son, Danny Joe Ausmus.
There will be a private graveside at Maplewood Cemetery.
She will be remembered for her love of family, kind heart, and the many memories she shared with those she loved.
